I think, as a filmmaker, what matters most to me is creating work that resonates with stories that usually go untold. Coming from a region where filmmaking has almost no ecosystem, I have always tried to collaborate as much as I can, because I believe cinema has the power to connect people and change lives.
It all started with just three people—one actor, one camera, and one director—as I made Atikan, a short film that was never released. But, I kept creating, connecting, and meeting people who shared the same vision.
In 2024, I founded the Kinnaur Film Society. It began with a simple dream: to bring people together through cinema and screen films in a place where film culture barely existed. Since then, I've continued making films, collaborating with new people, and building a community around storytelling. My films, Aechhi (2024) and Hue (2025), became important milestones in my journey and encouraged me to keep pushing forward.
I love films & will be contributing this life to creating and showing movies and telling stories to the world. 💌
